YAML in brief

What is it?

YAML is a rapid multi-column CSS layout builder, with parameters such as number of columns (1-3), width, gap, background, fixed/float, cross-browser compatible rendering, column separators, flexible grid-system using sub-templates and many helpful CSS components.

It suggests to use Top-Down approach, where the programmer begins with a default layout, then customizes it by adding/removing elements from it. Unnecessary elements in the XHTML/CSS should be removed once the layout is final, so as to keep the code simple and clean as possible.

It allows the programmers to devote more time and energy to creative design.

Despite all the great features, we are still going to need to customize the code, so it is always better to keep CSS coding skills at hand.
